Work Experience Desired:• Design and develop high quality software products in a fast-paced environment
• Support and enhance the entire software development life cycle
• Perform and guide the automation of unit, module, system and regression level testing on various software modules and systems
• Perform root cause analysis and develop solutions as necessary
Primary Skills:• Accountable for system requirements review, software architecture and design
• Adhere to project / customer software development processes
Optional Skills:• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field
• Proficiency in C and Exposure with C++ programming in a multitasking and multithreaded environment on a RTOS platform.
• Experience with RTOS like QNX, VxWorks, etc. or Linux.
• Experience working with Ethernet, TCP/IP or RS 232/422 protocols.
• Hands on experience testing/debugging Embedded software
• Experience with inter process communication and Synchronization methods
• Experience with CGI/ Embedded web Server and application development
• Familiar with Software version control tools.
Additional Requirements:• Experience with developing web-based user interfaces and web-services using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, familiar with secure socket layer SSL integration.
• Knowledge of safety critical software standards or Experience with rail or Automotive software is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum and TDD in an embedded environment
• Hands on experience with Shell or Batch scripting.
